He also posted lip-syncing clips on TikTok that was previously named Musical.ly. His first single Sweatshirt came out in the year of 2016. The song was an instant success and Jacob was ranked 9th in the most popular artist in 2016. His debut EP was released in the year 2017 and is known as The Last Text. He went on to drop five EPs. They include: the albums Left Me in Hangin, Better With you, You Where Are You. And The Found But Found EP and Sleep when I am Dead are the two EPs of five other EPs he has already released. Jacob Sartorius boasts an impressive following on his various social media profiles. He has more than twelve million Instagram followers and 23.6 millions TikTok users. YouTube's self-titled channel boasts 2,93,000,000 users.
