Dina is a native of Forest Hills Queens and raised there. But, she relocated to Dix Hills Long Island before the close of her senior year in high school. Her siblings include two younger ones and an older brother. Modeling was her first job in the industry. It was her first job from the age of 9 to 16. The beginning of her acting career was in The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She was studying Sanford Meisner's methods with Ron Stetson for three years. Sandra Bullock was among those who studied to this manner, as well as Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum Leslie Nielsen and Diane Keaton. Her debut role was Beverly Hills 90210 which forced her to relocate to Los Angeles. She was cast as the lead lady on Johnny Mnemonic in which she was able to perform almost every stunt her self, establishing herself as a talented actress. The agency she was represented by was Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent she managed to secure a regular spot in the show Friends.
